Biography of Dean
Dr. Mohammed Alruthea was appointed Dean, College of Dentistry in Al-Rass on 2017. Dr. Mohammed Alruthea also holds a tenured professorial appointment in the Department of Restorative & Prosthetic Dentistry and Periodontology.
He is nationally known and respected scholar in the areas of prosthodontic and dental implant-systemic connection, undergraduate dental education, and the quality of dental education. He has been an invited speaker at national consensus conferences for the National Institutes of Health, and served on several distinguished committees.
Dr. Mohammed Alruthea obtained a B.D.S in 1991 from King Saud University, a M.Dent.Ch (2001 in Prosthodontic and dental implant) from University of Dublin, Ireland. In addition, Dr. Mohammed Alruthea has obtained Certification Diplomat in Hospital Administration & Medical Record in 2009 from AL-Balqa University, Jordan, Certification Diplomat in Quality Administration in Health care in 2010 from AL-Balqa University, Jordan, and a C.M.I.D in 2016 (Clinical Master in Implant Dentistry) from Stony Brook University, School of Dental Medicine.
In 1991, Dr. Mohammed Alruthea began his career as a dentist in Saudi ministry of health. In 1995 he was appointed as Dental Supervisor at Qassim province, also held an appointment as hospital director from 2004 to 2012.
In 2012, Dr. Mohammed Alruthea began his academic career as a lecturer at Qassim University, Dental College. He was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2014. In 2014, he was offered and accepted a Vice Dean position of dental College. In 2017 he accepted the appointment as Dean of Dental College in Al-Rass.
The quality of Dr. Mohammed Alruthea work in the areas of administration, education, training and basic research made him wanted by several dental associations. He lectured at several national conferences, and also he is involved in multiple clinical dental research projects.
